It's Time!

 My favorite quote for today:
“When you’re ready, you can open your eyes.” Deepak Chopra

It’s time.  It’s time to know me.

Who am I?  Here is the basic of what I know.  I live in Paradise. I’m in my fifties. I’m a Mom, Daughter, Sister, Grandma, Wife, Lover, Friend and hard Worker.   I love animals. I love dogs. I love get to see wildlife on my property. I’m a great cheerleader for people. I love to see them succeed. I can however be critical at time.

I attended a total of two and a half years of collage but I am a lifelong learner.  I love to read, listen to TED talk, and look up facts on the internet.  I love anything that makes me think WHAT IF or IS THAT SO?  I love documentaries and some of my friends call me “tid bit Tammy”.   I’m a much better speaker then writer. I struggle with writing, spelling and English in general.  If you are reading my blog you may have the chance to encounter this part of me.

At the age of twenty two I started questioning my religion I was raised in, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). Since then I have studied numerous spiritual path and I’m always intrigued by spiritual thought process.   I attend a meditation group every now and then.

One thing I believe is that all spiritual things including organized religions are leading us back to our one Source.  I call my Source GOD. Grace Omnipotent Divine.  I don’t attend any church but I do like know about them and have attended some of services. I’m always willing to learn more.

Love, Meditation, and Nature (LMN) would be “My religion”.  It teaches me something new every day.

In my twenty’s I was introduced to “A Course in Miracles”. This texted has come up in my life time and time again.  I would start reading the book and then give it away. Then a few years later the “Course” would come up again and I would get a new one. So the last time I purchased “A Course  In Miracles” aka  the “Course”,  I decided to keep it and read it.  If it keeps coming back to me I must have something to learn from it.

Why I’m bringing this up? Well the “Course” has a workbook with 365 exercises, one for each day.  I have tried to work the exercise but then around day 60 to 70 I give up.   So I thought what could help me pass the hump and give me the push to complete the workbook all the way through?

I was meditating and I the thought came to me, “Why not write/blog about it and your experience of working the “Course”.    It would be great for you to know you better and maybe help someone else along the way. This is your blog and it is for your own history.   One day you may need to look back on it to say Awe yes that is why I began or look how far you have grown.”

Ok, Ok so I will start the “Course” but not until I get done with the Deepak Meditation I’m involve with now.  I have seven more days before I start my journey with the “Course” and between now and then I will refine and define my blog and even add more about me.
Expected Start date: Monday, November 24, 2014

Gratitude Space:
  • Today I’m grateful for the sun and the blue sky.  Against the white snow it makes my heart melt.
  •   I’m grateful for my dogs and my grand-dog, Spike who came up to visit.  I’m grateful that they all sit right next to me each time I sit to meditate.  It’s like they know that this is PEACE.
  •  I’m thankful for my hard working husband who just wants to make me happy in life.
I’m grateful for my meditation space.
I'm grateful for where i get to live, Paradise.

Until next time,
Namaste
